GloTech RE-DOTM Process

GloTech’s proprietary Reverse Engineering, Design Optimization (RE-DO) process can be applied across a broad range of machinery components used in the water & wastewater industries. First, a component is scanned in 3D using advanced FARO technology and analyzed in detail. Then, our engineers use state-of-the-art design tools to optimize the product, following GloTech’s unique mechanical and hydraulic design process developed from years of focused expertise in water & wastewater equipment. The RE-DO process enables GloTech to provide our customers rapid development of market-leading new products, as well as improved replacements products/components that are no longer supported by the OEM.

3D Modeling

Our team of expert SolidWorks designers can quickly make even the most complex product concepts into complete and accurate 3D models. Multiple models can be made into assemblies, and analyzed using simulation, to verify the fit and function of the design concept. We are also able to create high-resolution renderings to provide a photo-realistic preview of the product.

Simulation

GloTech employs cutting edge simulation tools to guide our R&D process. For example, structural components are subject to rigorous FEA analysis to determine its abilities to withstand operating loads, and conservative safety factors are applied. Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) is utilized to evaluate and predict the flow patterns and performance of hydraulic components. This allows us to simulate multiple options and select the best design to optimize performance, prior to physical prototyping and eventual batch production.
